Important Message

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to reach out and update you on my ankle and  my ability to fulfill custom orders.

 

While not requiring surgery at this time, it does require a significant period of immobilization and rest to heal properly. As suspected, my injury includes a grade 2 posterior tear of the posterior tibialis tendon and a couple of other related issues I was unaware of. I am thrilled the tendon is not ruptured or torn through. My doctor thinks the conservative non-surgical route is the way to go and I agree considering I already have a lot of orders placed. I’ve never had to cancel an order and I’m not starting now. If at any point along the way surgery is needed, I will go that route. I am so thankful to Rayus Radiology and Dr. Vallez for finding the root cause and coming up with a great treatment plan.

 

Given that my cookie room is located on the lower level of our house and requires navigating stairs, I need to limit my movements to aid in the healing process. Therefore, it saddens me to inform you that I will not be able to take on any new custom orders until further notice. I'm deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. 

My hope is to be back be later than mid to late August.

All orders that are placed and paid for will be completed as scheduled. I am booked out to mid-May and a few in June so I am working weekends and longer days to make up for the addition time I need. I didn't have the heart to cancel, so my healing time will take just a little longer.

I want to express my gratitude for your understanding and support during this challenging time. Not being a part of your special occasions breaks my heart a little.
